Dive Provo caters to experienced divers as well as novice divers and dive students. Owned and operated by Alan and Clare Jardine, both with over 35 years of dive industry experience, Dive Provo is dedicated to providing guests with convenient and trouble-free diving. Complimentary pick-ups are offered from Grace Bay and Long Bay resorts and from pick-up to drop off the staff do their best to make sure you have a good time. All are experienced, qualified professionals who love diving and want to show you the best of Turks and Caicos scuba diving.

Open Water Referral/Completion Course

Price : $495

Description:

Start your scuba instruction certification course at home with a local dive shop. You will do the academics with them in a classroom setting or utilizing E-Learning on-line and will learn all the required skills in their swimming pool. Your instructor will give you a Referral Form showing you have successfully completed all the skills. You can then complete your four open water training dives in the warm clear waters of Provo.

If you are completing PADI or SSI training your Dive Provo instructor will issue the certification. If you are completing dives for any other certifying agency (NAUI, SDI/TDI) we refer you back to your original instructor who will issue the certification. PADI and SSI divers can continue their diving education on vacation with Dive Provo.

If you have certified family or friends diving, you will be on the same boat. You, however, will be doing skills with your instructor and must stay with him/her. Following completion of the skills, there is still plenty of time to enjoy a dive and the scenery.

Prerequisites:

Minimum age 12 (special arrangements available for 10 & 11 year olds)

The course is offered to anyone who has completed the academics and confined water skills with their local instructor and been issued a Referral Form.

NOTE: If it has been more than six months since completion of your referral course, you must complete a Refresher course before participating in the Open Water Referral Course.

All students must complete a Medical Statement prior to participating in any course. Should any of the medical history items noted on the Statement apply to you, you will need to consult with a physician, who will provide written permission, prior to participating in scuba diving.

Itinerary:

Your instructor will spend time with you end route to the dive sites reviewing what you learned during your previous instruction and outlining the dive plan for each of the upcoming dives.

After completing the four “check-out” dives over a two-day period your PADI or SSI instructor will issue your certification. The newly certified diver can then spend the rest of his or her vacation diving!

For other agencies (NAUI, SDI/TDI) your Dive Provo instructor will sign your referral forms to verify completion. You will return to your originating instructor who issues the certification.

Day One: Open Water Dives 1 & 2

Day Two: Open Water Dives 3 & 4

Day Three: Premium Referral Course students only. Return on day three and participate in two additional dives under the supervision of the in-water dive guide.  Rental gear included!  On these two dives, students are welcome to dive along with any certified family or friends on board. It is expected that all newly certified divers under 12 years will be diving under the direct supervision of a parent.

Day Three – Five: Competent Diver Referral Program Students only. Continue on to take the Advanced Open Water Course and Enriched Air/Nitrox certification over the course of three more days. Finish this course as an Advanced Open Water/Nitrox Certified Diver!
